On the surface, family photography seems to be all about taking pretty pictures of your family to hang on your walls or place in a photo album. For myself and many other photographers who have also chosen to dedicate their careers to this field, it’s so much more.

As a parent and as someone who has had a long-time passion for photography, I am driven by the incredible value of a family’s story and the potential of photography to tell that story. Every day in your family’s life is a day when you and your kids are changing and growing, and it’s a day you’ll never get back. Photography has the power to freeze a moment in time just enough to allow you to revisit it whenever you choose.

In my family photography practice, I want my work to be authentic, empowering, safe, and creative. I invest time in establishing genuine connections with each and every family I work with, because only then can I wield the camera in a way that brings your personalities and your family interactions to life in your portraits.

Each of our stories has made us who we are today and without them, we would not have crossed paths. From our hardships to our victories, I want to celebrate your story during your session and in the years to come.

In the process, I aim to also make your portrait session a comfortable, positive experience for everyone. My goal is for each of my clients to feel safe and empowered by the time they leave my presence.
